Salsify it used to log most edits and updates for Essendant’s digital and print catalog.

To search for an item, switch to “Item” and enter item number
Click on item number to be taken to the item edit page. On this page, you can update two sections.
The Digital Assets section contains the images for the item.
To edit a photo, first remove the photo by clicking the X. Next, click the “Add a new image” link and choose, from local file. To add a main image, rename the image (save in your own folder) “itemnumber_Main”. To add an alternate image, rename the image “itemnumber_Alt1”. If there are more than 1 alternate images, number then in the order you would want them to appear on the web content.
Be sure to click “Save Changes” after anything is revised! Once the “Save Changes” button is greyed out, choose the “Publish Item” option from the Actions drop-down menu. This ensures that your changes are sent to Essendant.
Under the Extended (USSCO) page, you can edit specific dimensions and features. Again, be sure to choose “Save Changes” and “Publish Item” or else the changes won’t be sent to Essendant.
To update copy and bullet points, you have to edit the SKU group. This can be accessed by clicking the SKU group title, shown in circle:
Once taken to the SKU group, you again have the option to update images. If this SKU group contains more than one item, you’ll want to be careful what image you choose as that will represent the family.
Steps for updating images are the same as for individual item (above).
Below the images are the Selling Points and the Selling Copy. These are editable fields. Remember, if there is more than one item in this SKU Group, all selling points and the details in the copy must apply to all items.
Note: Selling points are published to retailer sites. Medium Selling Copy will be used for the digital content, while the Short Selling Copy will be pulled for the print catalog. Because of space, Short Selling Copy should be kept to 250 characters (including spaces).
As with the individual item, be sure to mark “Save Changes” and “Publish SKU Group” once all edits have been made.
