Adding items- Less than five items:
If you only have less than 5 items to add, it is easier to add the item directly in SAGE.
Steps:
1. Sign-in to SAGE
2. On the left side of the screen, there is a menu. Select Supplier Profile & Catalog
3. At the top of the screen there are tabs. Select Catalog.
4. There are a set of buttons in the middle of the screen starting with View Products. Select #5 Edit Products
5. At the bottom of the screen, select Add Product
6. Fill out the General tab
Category: Select the most relevant category first. Example: You’re setting up the MRC9979-BK 3 Day Stretch Backpack. You would select Backpack.
Category 2: Select a more general category, if relevant. Example for the MRC9979-BK you, you could select Bags
Item Number: Our item number
Product Name: Configuration for naming is Brand+Item+,+Color. So the MRC9979-BK would be:
Mercury Tactical Gear 3 Day Stretch Backpack, Black
Description: Should be at least two sentences describing the product. Must be end-user friendly language.
Keywords: Comma separated list of words or short phrases describing item. Include material, shape, key features, etc. Example: Backpack, Tactical, Military, Black, Hydration, School
Made in: Most Mercury items are made in China unless they have a T in their item number Example MRCT9979-BK. These items are TAA compliant and made in TAA compliant counties. Please review.
Dimensions: Please use OOPK dimensions. Mercury items should be formatted H x W x D.
Imprint Area & Location: This is the area where the logo will be embroidered or silkscreened. Check with Product and Sourcing for actual dimensions. Example location: Front of large pocket
2nd Imprint Area: Some bags have two areas where embroidery or silk screening are possible. Check with Product and Sourcing for actual dimensions.
7. Fill out the Pricing tab
ASI Pricing is done by quantity breaks: 1-11, 12-100, 101-299, 300+. You will need to get pricing from Zach Mitchell.
It is important to remember that ASI distributors will expect to pay 50% or more of the prices that you put in the system. So if the ASI price is $14.99 then the PUBLISHED ASI price would be $29.98.
Here’s an example that already set up:
Do not fill out any additional info in the pricing section.
8. Fill out the Compliance tab-
Some bags and accessories do have Prop 65 warnings required. Simulated or faux leather require a warning for Di(2-ethylexl) . Bags with wheels require a warning for lead.
9. Skip the Other tab
10. Fill out the Inventory tab
11. Click Save & Verify at the bottom left of the screen
Adding items- More than 5 items
Steps:
1. Sign-in to SAGE
2. On the left side of the screen, there is a menu. Select Supplier Profile & Catalog
3. At the top of the screen there are tabs. Select Catalog.
4. Select Bulk Update
5. Download Current Product Listing
6. Editing the Download
DO NOT REMOVE A ROW OR COLUMN FROM THE DOWNLOAD- Sage relies on formatting. It will not process properly if you change it.

To add an item, go to the first EMPTY row. Fill out the following columns
Column B- Item Number: Our item number
Column C- Name: Configuration for naming is Brand+Item+,+Color. So the MRC9979-BK would be:

Column D-F: Mimic other items
Column G- Category: Select the most relevant category first. Example: You are setting up the MRC9979-BK 3 Day Stretch Backpack. You would select Backpack.
Column H- Category 2: Select a more general category, if relevant. Example for the MRC9979-BK you, you could select Bags
Column I-J: Leave blank
Column K- Description: Should be at least two sentences describing the product. Must be end-user friendly language.
Column L- Keywords:
Column M- Colors
Column N- Themes: Comma separated list of words or short phrases describing item. Include material, shape, key features, etc. Example: Backpack, Tactical, Military, Black, Hydration, School.
Try to use existing terms listed in the download for other items.

Column CY- Decorated in: If item is able to be decorated, US
Column CY-DJ: Mimic other items
Column DK- Weight per carton: Inner pack weight
Column DL- Units Per Carton: Inner pack qty
Column DM- Ship Point Country: US
Column DN-Ship Point Zip: 32254

7. Save document and upload to SAGE
8. You will get an email when changes are processed. You will need to go back and spot check if everything looks correct.
