Production Procedure – Saw

SCOPE: Cutting MDF and 9MM boards to prepare for production.

PURPOSE: Define procedure for utilizing saw and daily cleaning

PROCEDURE: Cutting of Material

1. Ensure machine and all associated parts are turned on and operational
   1. Follow Initialization Set Up Process
2. Select proper pattern
   1. Ensure pattern is reflective of provided cut sheet
3. Stage and load wood onto the saw
   1. Place correct number of boards in accurate position on the saw
      1. 8-12 boards depending on thickness, warped material, blade sharpness
4. Process the cut
5. Offload material onto designated pallets
6. Report against cut sheet number of boards cut and sign off accordingly

PROCEDURE: Cleaning

Employee (1) Remove front and end covers to vacuum and blow out saw dust utilizing the air hose

Employee (1) Ensure no scrap wood is left in the carriage blocking the photo eyes

Employee (1) Wipe off excess dust from top of equipment

Employee (2) Utilize dust command, sweep up excess dust to ensure safe working environment *Report against cut sheet completion of cleaning requirements
