WHAT IS THE REMINDER FOR?
The reminder will pop up if SCM creates a Work Order (WO) for an item missing labor and overhead components.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Items manufactured at an Advantus-owned facility (12th, Shawland, PBG) must have labor and overhead components to calculate costs and help the warehouses schedule production hours.
HOW DO I CORRECT ISSUES?
- Confirm the times with the appropriate warehouse contact.
- Update the item’s BOM.
- Contact SCM buyer to cancel the current WO and create a new one.
- NOTE – The open WO that prompted the reminder will not update to capture the rates after they have been entered. The only way to capture the rates is to create a new WO.
TIPS & TRICKS
Are there any exceptions?
Assembly items not manufactured at Advantus-owned facilities do not require labor and overhead. Examples include Mercury embroidered items or ADVII Tuf-Tite items.
Assembly items that come in as a finished good but require a BOM to deplete materials from outside locations. Examples include Mercury Multicam include.
These exceptions can be built into the reminder. If an item comes up that needs to be added, please contact Tracey Anderson.
