My Active Items w/out RF-Smart UPCs

WHAT IS THE REMINDER FOR?

The reminder will show up if you have items inventoried in an Advantus owned location but the RF-Smart records are not set up.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

RF-Smart records are what feeds an item’s barcode and quantity information to our warehouse scanners. If there are no RF-Smart records, the warehouse cannot scan inventory to receive in product, move product in the warehouse, or pick orders.

HOW DO I CORRECT ISSUES?

As long as there is information in the Units & Dims section, the error is fixed by checking the “create RF-Smart multiple UPC records” and saving.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • The reminder looks at an item’s Preferred Location, but if any inventory is housed at an Advantus owned location (even temporarily), there must be RF-Smart records.
    • NOTE – Inventory Management will email you, typically citing an issue about the barcode not scanning or “no item found.” The first place you should look is the RF-Smart record sublist.
