Verifying Price Variance – Mercury

Mercury Price variance instructions

  1. Go to the item’s pricing tab and compare the PO to available pricing. There may be a variance because of one of the following:
    1. It is a closeout price
    2. It is the dropship price
    3. They are submitting tiered pricing and the customer price level is not specified
  2. If you cannot decipher why the PO is being submitted, visit the customer record and see what pricing level they are to receive. Also, look to see if they have any custom pricing.
  3. If you cannot locate the submitted PO on the item pricing tab or the customer pricing tab, you have two courses of action, depending on the customer:
    1. For customers that Marketing helped set up items, you can go back to the item set up and see what we told them they would pay.
      1. If they are submitting a PO that is different than that they submitted, it may be promotional pricing. Check with the Sales Rep.
      2. For AAFES price variances, you can look up the SON (Summary of Negotiations) to confirm what the price should be
    2. For customers where we did not help set up items, contact the Sales Rep to confirm. You can find the assigned Sales Rep on the customer record in Netsuite.
    3. For items that do not have any pricing, or are missing pricing for a certain level, you will be to reach out to the Divisional VP to confirm, then add pricing to NetSuite.

Misc. Troubleshooting

  • Military Luggage Company-These are most likely custom items that we are bringing in for this customer. Pricing will be different each time depending on qty. Ask Sales Rep to confirm.
  • AAFES- Customer is charged a $2.00 dropship fee for all items. If an order comes into 401AAFVN (VendorNet) without the $2.00 charge, they have either submitted the wrong PO or they submitted a store customer number under the wrong vendor number. In either case, reach out to Customer Service to confirm.
