Process Overview: When a picker comes across an inventory discrepancy while picking an item, a bin flag is submitted so Inventory Management can review and resolve it. If the discrepancy isn’t resolved by the time the pallet and/or pick task has been completed, the picker will place a cone on top of the unfinished pallet. This is both a reminder to the picker that the pallet needs to be completed and prevents the shipping dock from trying to ship the pallet out. The below process should be followed when marking pallets containing bin flags with cones.
Step 1: Submit the bin flag or ensure the bin flag has been submitted. The Creating Bin Flags process should be referenced if needed. This is essential in ensuring the issue is resolved as quickly as possible.
Step 2: When the picker is finished picking the pallet for the time being, move it to the appropriate staging area and put a cone directly on top of the pallet. This will serve as a reminder that the pallet has yet to be completed.

Step 3: Once the bin flag has been resolved, remove the cone from the top of the pallet and proceed as necessary.
- *Note- Once the bin flag has been resolved and completed, the task will re-appear on the Task Selection screen.
- *Note– When going back into the task to pick the flagged item, the user should double-check that the correct LP is being picked against.
This completes the process of marking pallets containing bin flags with cones.
