Jury Duty Leave

Employees who fulfill their civic responsibilities by serving jury duty will be excused from work without the loss of base pay during their regular working hours.

Jury duty can last from several days to several months or more. During this time you will be considered on a leave of absence and will be entitled to continue to participate in insurance and other benefits as if you were working. While serving on jury duty, you are expected to call in to your supervisor periodically to keep him or her apprised of your status.

Upon completion of Jury Duty, the employee will be required to turn in the signed statement from the Clerk of Courts indicating the amount paid by the state.  The amount of base pay received will be reduced by the payment received from the state.
