Process Overview: To ensure scanners and printers can function properly, fully charged batteries should be put into each one at the beginning of every shift. If a battery starts to run low or die, the user must swap out the dying or dead battery for a new, charged battery. The processes below should be used when installing and swapping out batteries on the scanners and printers.
Scanners- Installing the Battery
Step 1: Insert a fully charged battery, bottom first, into the battery compartment in the back of the device.
Step 2: Press the battery down into the battery compartment until the battery release latches snap into place.
- *Note– To turn on the device, press and hold the Power button.
Scanners- Removing the Battery
Step 1: Press the two battery latches in.
Step 2: Lift the battery from the device.
Printers- Installing the Battery
Step 1: Slide a fully charged battery into the battery slot on the battery base.
Step 2: Push the battery into the base until the battery pack is flush to the rear of the battery base, and the connectors on the battery pack are engaged with the ports on the back of the printer.
Printers- Removing the Battery
Step 1: To remove the battery, press firmly on the latch and pull the battery away from the base.
This completes the processes of installing and removing the scanner and printer batteries.
