DC Emergency Action Plan – 12th Street

In the event of emergency, employees are alerted by:
• Two-way radio assigned to key personnel.  Upon confirmation of an emergency situation, the word will be passed via two-way radio to take appropriate action.

  • In the event of fire or other emergency, ALL employees shall evacuate immediately.
  • Department Supervisors are responsible for checking rest rooms, break areas, shop areas and offices within their department.
  • Department Supervisors are responsible for accounting for each employee to include temporary hires once the building has been evacuated.

In the event of an emergency, employees shall evacuate as directed by the routes indicated on the posted evacuation plan.

Portable fire extinguishers are provided in the workplace for employee use. In the event of fire, any employee that has been trained in the use of fire extinguishers may use extinguishers to attempt to extinguish the fire before evacuating.

In the event of an emergency, the following employees are to remain in the workplace to shutdown or monitor critical operations before they evacuate:

–   Agostinho Sardinha  (Facilities and Maintenance Manager)
–   Filpo Lara –  (Production Manager)

• No employees are assigned to perform medical or rescue duties during emergency evacuation situations.

• After an emergency evacuation, employees are to gather in the following location(s):

Shipping – Northeast corner of property
Receiving (to include Poster and CleanTex Rooms)- Southwest corner of property
Production – Southeast corner of property
Administrative – Southwest corner of property
No employees are allowed to re-enter the building prior to the “ALL CLEAR” signal being given.
