Closeout/Liquidate Items w/ QOH = 0

WHAT IS THE REMINDER FOR?

The reminder will show up if items have a closeout or liquidate status and a quantity on hand (QOH) of zero or is blank.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Typically, if a product has a status of Closeout or Liquidate and our QOH is empty, the system will change the status code to Obsolete. However, if there is a closeout/liquidate item with a backordered quantity, even though the QOH is empty, the system will not change the status, so it has to be done manually.

HOW DO I CORRECT THE ISSUE?

The P&S Coordinator will work with the various Product Specialists to ensure that moving items to an Obsolete status is acceptable.  It isn’t just a flat; you see it and change it; we have to do our due diligence.

For example, for item 35906, we are trying to move customers to the replacement item 35906-6, so the Specialist should email the Division Director to let them know we are out. If they want to convert the 984 on backorder to the -6 replacement item, they need to work with customer service.
