Customers are typically given a list price, MSRP, and the customer cost.
List Price: Inflated published pricing typically in the office products channel.
MSRP: Pricing customers actually paid. Typically used/published in the grocery and tech channels.
Customer Cost: What the customer pays Advantus for the product.
The explanation behind how these prices were determined:
MSRP:
- MSRP for Dead Net customers must be at a minimum of 50 points from their cost
- MSRP for EDU Wholesale customers (Educators Resource mainly) must be at a minimum of 60 points from their cost
- MSRP for G1 customers must be at a minimum of 50 points from their cost
Once the appropriate MSRP is established for all 3 price levels, then a slight adjustment is made to make the pricing more consumer-friendly. For example, if the % works out to $2.85/unit I would adjust that to $2.89/Unit.
List:
On average is 10% higher than the MSRP across all items.
