Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI) Requests via Email

  1. Customer Compliance sends an email to acs.chicago@aon.com and includes the following information:
  • Email from customer or backup (forwarding the request is fine)
  • Address of Insured (this is on the COI and must be correct). The top two lines of this section will vary depending on if the requesting customer is a customer of Advantus or one of its subsidiaries
  • Additional requirements, if applicable
  • Email or mailing address the forms will be sent to in the future, if applicable

Aon will return the COI in a separate email, usually in the next business day. Send the COI to the requestor or upload it if the customer specifies a location.

*Finally, upload the COI received from Aon to our SharePoint COI folder.

Occasionally a customer will reject a COI because the information does not meet their requirements or verbiage is incorrect. Reply to Aon’s email and ask them to make the necessary updates.

Some customers will specify that Umbrella coverage is required. In this case, you will also need to obtain an Umbrella COI from AJG. Email our contact Evie at Evie_ElphickGonzalez@ajg.com and request an umbrella COI from her with the same information as listed above. Upload the COI received from AJG to our SharePoint COI folder.
