Products Moved to Obsolete

An email will be sent to the following recipients when there are items in NetSuite that move to Obsolete status (graphics@advantus.com; Brandy Bottin, Brittani Underwood, Rana Coggins, Jill Lowe, Cassie Dyer, Erin Crites and Web@advantus.com)

Below is an example for reference:

Each recipient should click on the View Results or attached spreadsheet. Below is an example for reference:

It will provide the division, item number, description and the last customer who purchased the item and if it is sold on the website

The below actions should be reviewed and taken on each item:

WEB: Remove products from Advantus owned web properties

GRAPHICS: Remove products from digital catalogs and sell sheets

SALES ADMIN: Review list of customers who have purchased the product and it is set up with and follow their protocol to discontinue the product in their system.

***Please note that if an item is cross-sold to a customer under a different division than the division the item falls under, the responsibility still falls to the Sales Ops Specialist for the item. The Sales Ops Specialist for the item should email the Salesperson and Sales Ops Specialist for the division the customer falls under to let them know that the item is now Obsolete so that they can then follow the steps to notify those customers***

SALES ADMIN: Be sure to check all relevant marketplaces such as Amazon and Walmart

SALES ADMIN: Check to see if the item has the Sold Via Shopify box checked on the item record. If so, uncheck the box and save so that it will remove it from the BO items Sold on Shopify Saved Search.

** Please note that the sales admin should put in a Graphics request and Web request to make sure the actions are taking. Do not rely on Graphics and Web automatically performing the required actions
