Letter of Guarantee (LOG)
Letters of Guarantee are completed for various situations. Most Letters of Guarantees (LOGs) are completed for labs to enable items to be grouped for testing or to identify what item number is the same as something else in a test report.
An example of common LOGs are for the TRA and LHAMA.
Most glitter and glitter glues are nearly the same or the same (just has a different item name/number or may take existing and combine for “new” mixes)
TRA/LHAMA LOG –
The work for how to identify the items are found on the S drive
S:\Compliance\Product Testing & Compliance\TRA & LHAMA, USP\Sulyn
Each factory will have spreadsheets for different types of materials.
Previous LOG information is kept in a LOG folder to be used as a template.
Once the information is completed for a LOG, the LOG is in the CoC & Compliance folder in the S drive
S:\Compliance\Product Testing & Compliance\CoC & Compliance Documents
TRA/LHAMA LOGs are common for Michaels, Joann’s, and Walmart.
SGS may also require a LOG for items that are made from the same material, but just different colors. This happens when items are grouped and only 1 color has full testing done.
Example: Totes made of PP (polypropylene) plastic
