- As long as the order passes validation and inventory is on hand, the order(s) will be auto released.
- If there are validation-related issues, (pricing, address) work with Angela if necessary.
- There should not be exclusivity or out of multiple issues.
- For address issues, go through our internal process of seeing if we can verify internally before reaching out to dropship@homedepot.com. (FedEx address check, Google)
- If inventory does not fill, check to see if there is inventory at the 12th Street or SHW location that can be moved.
- If inventory has not been moved in time to meet their ship date, please notify your supervisor.
Deleting/Discontinuing Items
There are multiple options for removing an item, so it’s important to understand if you want to delete, discontinue, or obsolete an item. Definitions are below:
Delete – should only be done if the item has never been completed to the Existing workflow for any channel or if the item was a true incorrect set up and the supplier and merchant are not going forward with selling the item. A deletion cannot occur on a SSKU Object if SSKU Items are associated. The SSKU Items will need to be deleted individually if all SSKU Items are to be removed.
Discontinue – item is shown as discontinued on homedepot.com and no longer buyable in other channels.
Obsolete – item has been removed and is no longer sold/displayed on homedepot.com. Obsolete items can refer to items that are out of date, no longer valid, etc.
If the item is online only, please provide a list of items to the merchant and what action you would like to take. The merchant will then submit a request to our online maintenance team.
If the item is fulfilled through CHUB, you will need to zero out inventory. If the item is fulfilled through one of their DFCs, let the merchant know so they can communicate this with their Inventory Planning & Replenishment partner. If the item is a Store or Special Order item, submit a ticket in IDM.
To Discontinue a Dot.com item, login to CHUB. Under Search For: select Inventory- Vendor SKU. In the space next to Starting with, enter the item number. Click Go.
Under Inventory: Snapshot select The Home Depot In.
Actions: Select Edit SKU, then click Go. Update any Quantity fields to 0 and Change Availability to Discontinued. Change Discontinued On date to todays date. Click Submit.
