Why can’t I find a record in NetSuite?

Records are periodically reviewed and marked inactive to reduce unnecessary maintenance. Vendors, Customers, and Item records are marked inactive after prolonged times of inactivity. However, the information is still accessible.

There are a couple of options if you need to find an inactive record.

  • In global search, add a plus symbol (+) add the end of the keyword(s). This works for all inactive records.
  • Under preferences, there is an option to show inactive records in global and quick searches. This option is helpful if you would prefer always to show inactive records.
    • Home -> Preferences -> Analytics -> Search -> Include Inactives in Global & Quick Search
