What Does UL or ETL Listed Mean?

Products that are plugged into power outlets must pass certain OSHA testing requirements to be considered safe and sold by Advantus. Lamps and surge protectors are good examples.

UL and ETL marks are both widely accepted safety standards and meet the same criteria.

  • ETL Listed: certified and tested for use in the United States.
  • cETL Listed: certified and tested for use in Canada.
  • cETLus Listed: certified and tested for use in both the United States and Canada.
  • UL Listed: certified and tested for use in the United States.
  • cUL Listed: certified and tested for use in Canada.
  • cULus Listed: certified and tested for use in both the United States and Canada.
