The Advantus Supply Chain Management Department handles the buying of finished goods, materials, and service items to support our various business units.

Our Mission: “To create competitive advantages for the company through effectively seeking and implementing optimal supply chain practices.”

The 3 main Functions of the Supply Chain Management Department are:

  1. Forecasting
  2. Buying
  3. Logistics

Teamwork:

Many departments rely on Supply Chain Management to provide accurate and proper information in order to fulfill our customer requirements and enhance workflow:

We work in conjunction with the Product & Sourcing  team, which makes product and assortment decisions and sources the vendor partners and factories to produce these goods.

Sales and Customer Service rely on our open PO file to assure data integrity; essential to our customers.

Accounting utilizes our cost structures and purchase order costs to ensure timely payments to our suppliers.

Warehouse Operations require clean shipment forecasts to plan for effective production and product storage and order selection.

Our financial Executives need to have confidence that our spending is within corporate parameters in order to maintain our budgets & achieve our goals.

We use technology to enhance productivity, increase accuracy, and allow task management to flow smoothly.  We are in a fluid environment, adding tools whenever possible.
