Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding a drop ship program with Advantus Corp. Here are some general points regarding Advantus and drop shipping our products:
- Operationally, Advantus is not set up to support a large number of individual drop ship orders. Our operations are geared towards shipping larger, weekly orders to stocking customers.
- In Office Products, United Stationers (now named Essendant) and SP Richards, both national wholesalers with distributions centers across the country, stock a broad range of Advantus office products. More than 500 sku’s are available from these wholesalers.
- In Craft & Hobby, Notions Marketing, a national Craft distributor, stocks our complete range of Craft & Hobby brands including Tim Holtz Idea-ology, Sulyn, Cosmo Cricket and Storage Studios.
- United/Essendant, SP Richards and Notions all provide excellent support for reseller web sites and provide pick and pack drop ship services as a major part of their business.
- Advantus encourages our dealers to utilize these wholesalers/distributors in support of their web sites. We would be happy to provide you with contact information for any of these wholesalers/distributors.
Advantus does offer a limited Office Products range for drop shipping direct from our factory. Not all products from Advantus are eligible – C&H products, Innovative Storage Designs, See Jane Work and Z Label product lines are not eligible for drop ship. Attached is a Drop Ship Pricer that lists the products that are available for drop ship. As part of this program:
- Reseller must have an account with either UPS or FedEx. Advantus will ship on that account.
- We will waive our normal minimum order of $100.
- We will waive the normal drop ship charge of $20.
- We will waive the restocking charge for returns.
- All returns require a RA that can be obtained from Customer Service. All returns must come prepaid to Advantus unless the return is determined to be from a product defect.
- Accepted payment terms are electronic by credit card or wire transfer.
